Everyone says that rain on your wedding day is good luck. Well, it also makes for some great photos! We've had a lot of rainy days this year, and while Cynthia and Paul's wedding day brought rain, it didn't stop us! We took advantage of some really beautiful locations and got some amazing shots.
I was really excited about shooting this wedding. See, Cynthia's younger sister Christina is one of my oldest and dearest friends. We even share the same birthday! It was great to be a part of such a special day, especially since it was for people who I've known almost all of my life!
We met up with Cynthia and Paul at the West Hebron Presbyterian Church; which was actually the church I went to when I was a kid. Wow, did it bring back some memories! Dan of Powers Media Productions was also on hand to capture some special moments - and it was great working with him for the first time!
We had a few minutes before the ceremony began to photograph some of the details; check 'em out!!
Such a beautiful, happy bride!!!
Cynthia had her mom walk her down the aisle. Love these next two photos.
After a couple of photos at the church, we headed towards The Queenbury Hotel for the reception, but first, made a quick stop where Cynthia grew up for some more photos. Wow, what a view!! Thankfully the rain held off and we got a few quick minutes to get some gorgeous photos. This next photo happens to be one of my favorites from the day.
A few more shots at the hotel before reception time!
Beautiful first dance!
And then a meaningful Mother / Son dance.
Thought I'd share one photo of my good friend Christina (Cynthia's sister), who has also recently just tied the knot. Congrats to you and Brian! Ed and I are so happy for you both!
This photo is great! Anyone want to share what you all were laughing at? I'm pretty sure that I remember, but I think everyone looking at this blog is wondering. :)
Here's a little cameo from yours truly. Actually, this may be my first from this year. I always seem to make friends at weddings. :)
Paul and Cynthia had a great time out on the dance floor at their wedding! I love it when the couples really enjoy themselves!
I'll end with these next two sets - some really fun portraits from towards the end of the night. Paul and Cynthia, congratulations again!!! We really enjoyed being a part of your day! Ed and I both wish you many years of love and happiness!!
